10:28 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Emerson (EMR) said Tuesday Lithium Americas (LAC) has selected it to provide automation systems and technical services for the Thacker Pass lithium project in northern Nevada.

Financial details weren't provided.

The company said its technologies will support the mine and plant operations.

Thacker Pass Phase 1 is expected to produce up to 40,000 metric tons of lithium carbonate annually, Emerson said.

Emerson added that regional partner Caltrol will operate a local service center for maintenance and repairs to ensure fast technical support.

Construction has started, and Emerson said it is working with Lithium Americas to prepare the site for commissioning.
