11:12 AM EST, 11/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Emerson Electric ( EMR ) said Monday it was selected to provide automation solutions and engineering expertise for South32's multi-million-dollar automation project at the Hermosa zinc deposit in Arizona.

Emerson will integrate centralized control software, asset management systems, smart field devices, and remote operations technologies into Centro, South32's remote operations center located about 30 miles from the mine.

The company said it will also use its DeltaV automation platform to collect real-time data from the mine into a single control system. Its regional partner Caltrol will support the project with service, maintenance and emergency response.

Shares of Emerson were up more than 1% in recent trading.
