09:30 AM EDT, 09/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- EMP Metals ( EMPPF ) appointed Karl Kottmeier as chief executive, taking over from Rob Gamley who will remain as the president and a director.

Kottmeier has served as a director since November.

The company has also completed its acquisition of Hub City Lithium, which has lithium assets in Saskatchewan, from ROK Resources (ROK.V) for $5.1 million in shares.

Also, as part of an investor rights agreement between EMP Metals ( EMPPF ) and Tembo Capital Holdings UK, Tembo will purchase 4.3 million EMP common shares at $0.30 each for $1.3 million, so as to maintain its 20% stake. Proceeds will be used to develop the Saskatchewan lithium properties and for general corporate and working capital purposes.
