Enbridge Closes Acquisition of Ohio Natural Gas Utility from Dominion Energy

10:52 AM EST, 03/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Enbridge ( ENB ) has completed its acquisition of Dominion Energy's ( D ) Ohio natural gas utility, the companies said Thursday.

Dominion said that East Ohio Gas Company was sold for about $6.6 billion, including debt.

Enbridge ( ENB ) said the gas utility will do business as Enbridge Gas Ohio and will become a part of its gas distribution and storage business unit.

Dominion and Enbridge ( ENB ) anticipate to close on the sales of Dominion's gas distribution companies based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Gastonia, North Carolina, in separate deals later this year, Dominion said.

Enbridge ( ENB ) shares were up about 1.2%, and Dominion rose 3.8% in recent trading.
