08:47 AM EDT, 08/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Encompass Health ( EHC ) and Ardent Health ( ARDT ) affiliate BSA Health System said Friday they have formed a joint venture to own and operate a freestanding, 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The hospital, expected to open late in the year, will serve patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, offering 24-hour nursing care, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies.

BSA Health plans to relocate its existing 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit to the new hospital upon completion, the company said.
