09:27 AM EST, 11/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Encompass Health ( EHC ) said Friday it plans to build a freestanding 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Fishers, Indiana.

The facility will serve patients in Hamilton County and nearby areas recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic and other neurological conditions, the company said.

It will provide 24-hour nursing along with physical, occupational, and speech therapy, Encompass Health ( EHC ) said.

The hospital will have private rooms, a therapy gym, an activities of daily living suite, an in-house dialysis unit, a dining room, pharmacy, and therapy courtyard, it added.

The hospital is expected to open in 2027 as part of the company's national rehab network and Indiana locations, Encompass added.
