Encompass Health Plans to Build 50-Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in San Antonio

05:10 PM EDT, 04/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Encompass Health ( EHC ) said Wednesday it is looking to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

The hospital will serve patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions, it said.

The firm said the facility will complement its 27 hospitals in Texas with two currently under development in Houston and Amarillo.
