EnCore Says EPA Denies Petition to Block Development of Dewey Burdock Uranium Project in South Dakota
Sep 16, 2025 5:54 AM

08:15 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- EnCore Energy (EU) said Tuesday that the US Environmental Protection Agency's Environmental Appeals Board denied a petition to block development of the company's Dewey Burdock in-situ recovery uranium project in South Dakota.

The petition was filed by the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Black Hills Clean Water Alliance and NDN Collective.

The board's decision allows the project to advance via federal permitting, the company said.

EnCore said it plans to start state permitting activities in 2025, advancing the project toward development ahead of schedule.

Shares were up 2.4% in recent premarket activity.
