Encore Wire's Go-Shop Period Ends With No Interest From Potential Buyers

02:45 PM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Encore Wire ( WIRE ) said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday it did not get any superior proposals from potential buyers than its offer from Prysmian during the go-shop period.

Twelve of the 13 potential buyers said they were not interested in pursuing discussions while one did not respond, according to the filing.

The company's board recommended shareholders to vote for the transaction and said the deal is in their best interest.
