09:09 AM EDT, 08/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) said Monday it has acquired RadTran for $3 million in cash and equity, plus up to an additional $14 million in milestone payments.

Acquiring RadTran, a private nuclear technology firm, will help Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) in the development and production of medical isotopes used in cancer treatments, the company said.

As part of the acquisition, RadTran Chief Executive Saleem Drera will join Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) as vice president of radioisotopes, radiological systems and intellectual property.
