07:16 AM EDT, 08/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) said Thursday it has produced its first kilogram of dysprosium oxide at pilot scale at its White Mesa Mill in Utah.
The company said it achieved a purity of 99.9%, exceeding the commercial standard of 99.5%, and is now producing at a rate of two kilograms per week, with plans to reach about 15 kilograms before shifting to terbium oxide production.
Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) said initial terbium samples are expected in Q4.
Several magnet manufacturers and OEMs have shown strong interest in testing the material, the company said, adding it plans to build commercial-scale separation capacity for dysprosium, terbium, and potentially other heavy rare earths, targeting production by Q4 2026.
Shares of the company were up 2.8% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
