07:05 AM EDT, 03/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) said Wednesday it has produced its first kilogram of high-purity terbium oxide at its White Mesa Mill in Utah.
The terbium oxide achieved 99.9% purity at pilot scale using monazite ore sourced domestically, following earlier production of nearly 30 kilograms of dysprosium oxide, the company said.
Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) said the materials are used in permanent magnets for electric vehicles, defense systems and other technologies.
Additionally, the company said it expects to continue producing terbium oxide at about one kilogram per week and plans commercial production from 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and feedstock availability.
Shares of Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) were up 4.2% in Wednesday premarket trading.
