Energy Fuels Up 16% In U.S. Pre-Market On Conditional U.S. Government Support to Speed-Up Growth in Rare Earths and Critical Materials
Jun 18, 2026 5:53 AM

08:42 AM EDT, 06/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- U.S.-listed shares of Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) rose 16% on Thursday after it received conditional commitment for up to $725 million of senior-secured debt from U.S. Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) to support expansion of U.S. rare earths and critical materials production and processing capabilities.

The OSC would extend the loan with a tenor of 20 years to support the planned expansion of its critical minerals processing capabilities at its White Mesa Mill in Utah as well as a planned rare earth metals and alloy facility to be constructed in the United States, subject to some terms. Shares were last seen up $2.5 at $17.79 in US pre-market trade.

Proceeds from the finalized financing will be used to support eligible project development, processing capacity, supply chain integration, working capital and other strategic priorities, consistent with the terms of the applicable financing arrangements, it said.

Shares of the company closed up 0.4% to $21.62 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
