10:08 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Transfer ( ET ) said Wednesday it approved a $5.3 billion expansion of its Transwestern natural gas pipeline to increase supply to Arizona and New Mexico.
The company said the project, dubbed Desert Southwest, includes 516 miles of new pipeline and nine compressor stations across Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, with a design capacity of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day.
Energy Transfer ( ET ) said it expects the system to begin operations in Q4, 2029.
