04:40 PM EST, 12/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Transfer ( ET ) said late Thursday it is suspending development of the Lake Charles liquefied natural gas project.

The company said it will prioritize capital allocation to its "significant" backlog of natural gas pipeline infrastructure projects that offer superior risk/return profiles.

Energy Transfer ( ET ) said it remains open to discussions with third parties who may have an interest in the LNG project.
