05:27 PM EST, 12/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Transfer ( ET ) said late Thursday it will increase the transportation capacity of Transwestern Pipeline's Desert Southwest expansion project to meet higher customer demand.
The mainline pipeline diameter will be increased to 48 inches from 42, raising its capacity to as much as 2.3 billion cubic feet per day, the company said.
The firm said its total growth capital expenditures for 2026 are expected to rise by about $200 million as the project would now cost up to about $5.6 billion, excluding Allowance for Funds Used During Construction.
The project remains on track to begin service in Q4 2029, it said.
