08:25 AM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Transfer ( ET ) said Thursday its subsidiary Energy Transfer LNG Export has signed a 20-year agreement to supply up to 1 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas annually to Japan's Kyushu Electric Power from its proposed Lake Charles export terminal.
Financial terms were not provided.
The company said the contract is contingent on a final investment decision for the Lake Charles project.
LNG will be sold on a free-on-board basis, with pricing tied to the Henry Hub benchmark plus a fixed liquefaction fee, Energy Transfer ( ET ) said. This is Kyushu Electric's first long-term LNG deal with a US supplier, the company added.
