05:13 PM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Enghouse Systems ( EGHSF ) , after trading Monday said its U.K. unit acquired Aculab PLC, a provider of on-premise and cloud based communications and AI software, for an undisclosed price.

Aculab products include a communications platform as a service (CPaaS), an AI-driven answering machine detection, advanced voice and face biometrics technologies, as well as high-performance gateways, media processing and signaling products.

"Aculab's team and products expand our existing gateway business, adds a CPaaS solution, and several AI enabled products to the Enghouse Interactive's product portfolio," said Enghouse ( EGHSF ) chief executive Steve Sadler.

The company's shares closed down $0.04 to $27.32 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
