07:19 AM EDT, 06/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Enghouse Networks (ENGH.TO) on Tuesday said its messaging and security solutions will underpin Japan Communications' Neo-Carrier Strategy.
Japan Communications (JCI) has said it plans to launch in May 2026 its Neo-Carrier service, which integrates voice, SMS and data connectivity directly with mobile network operators infrastructure. JCI has already begun building out its voice and SMS networks with Enghouse Networks' SMS Core System. The company is targeting developing social infrastructure such as secure mobile environment beyond national borders.
"As we continue building the Neo-Carrier platform, it's important that every component meets strict standards for reliability and openness," said Greg Deickman, chief technology officer of Japan Communications. "Enghouse Networks' SMS Core System gives us a solid, standards-based foundation for SMS and voicemail, while also allowing us to move quickly and independently. It's a practical, future-ready solution that fits well with how we're approaching our next phase."
