02:50 PM EST, 11/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Engine Capital, which has 7.1% stake in Dye & Durham ( DYNDF ) , on Monday said it has nominated six candidates for election to the board at the 2024 annual meeting of shareholders.

"We have assembled a world-class slate of directors to fix Dye & Durham ( DYNDF ) and close its large valuation gap. There is no reason why the stock should be trading at such a discount to peers, which trade at nearly 20x EBITDA, other than the Board's inadequate oversight and management's poor execution," Engine said in a statement.

The director candidates posses complementary expertise in software, legal technology, operations and capital allocation, and has hands-on experience leading transformational change in these areas, the Engine statement added.

Dye & Durham ( DYNDF ) was last seen up $0.14, to $19.65 on the Toronto Stock Exchange, leaving it just shy of 52 week highs.
