08:46 AM EDT, 09/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Eni (E) said Friday that its chief executive officer, Claudio Descalzi, met with US energy and interior secretaries to review the company's activities with American partners and discuss global energy scenarios.

Descalzi hosted US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, US Secretary of Interior Doug Burgum and US Ambassador to Italy Tilman Fertitta, the company said.

The parties reiterated their mutual satisfaction with the July deal between Eni and Venture Global for long-term supply of US liquefied natural gas, Eni said.

Descalzi also highlighted Eni's presence in the US energy sector across solar power, biorefining and fusion energy, the company said.
