07:03 AM EDT, 04/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Eni S.p.A's (E) second floating liquefied natural gas project in Mozambique was approved Tuesday, multiple media outlets reported, citing a government statement.

The Coral Norte project, valued at about $7.2 billion, is expected to start production in the second half of 2028 and will have an annual production capacity of 3.6 million tons, according to the reports.

Eni did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
