Analysts polled by FactSet expected $3.03.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to $802.7 million from $689.9 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $806.6 million.

The company said it repurchased $38 million worth of common stock during the quarter under its share buyback program.
