09:40 AM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) said Wednesday it signed a safe harbor agreement with solar finance firm IGS Solar to increase deployments of Enphase's IQ8 microinverters made in US plants.

Enphase said the use of US-made IQ8 microinverters, together with other US-made solar equipment, allow IGS Solar-financed leases to qualify for the domestic content bonus tax credit.

Under the agreement, solar companies will install IGS Solar-owned IQ8 microinverters made in the US on IGS Solar-owned projects, which will help the projects qualify for the domestic content bonus tax credits, Enphase said.
