10:43 AM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) said Tuesday it started initial shipments of IQ8HC microinverters supplied from plants in the US with higher domestic content than earlier models.

The company said that, as previously disclosed in July, some microinverters, when combined with other US-made solar equipment, may qualify for the domestic content bonus tax credit under the Inflation Reduction Act.

"Now, with the new IQ8 Microinverters having more components manufactured in the United States, less additional U.S.-made solar equipment is needed to meet the domestic content bonus tax credit requirements," the company said.
