08:36 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) said Thursday that it has started shipping its IQ Battery 5P with a higher proportion of source materials from the United States than previous models.

The batteries comply with the requirements in the latest US federal budget, which retroactively enforced a 45% US-sourced materials threshold for solar and battery products, the company said.

Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) said products must meet this threshold to qualify for key federal tax incentives, with the requirement rising to 50% in 2026 and 55% in 2027. The company added that it is currently building new IQ Battery 5P units to comply with these standards.

The IQ Battery 5P has a 5 kilowatt-hour capacity and can be paired with Enphase IQ8TM Microinverters to provide homeowners with electricity, the company said.
