06:41 AM EDT, 08/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Entergy ( ETR ) said Wednesday the Louisiana Public Service Commission, or LPSC, approved an agreement allowing the company to advance its grid investments in Meta's (META) Richland Parish data center.
The approval permits three combined cycle combustion turbine facilities, two in Richland Parish targeted for late 2028 and a third at the Waterford site in St. Charles Parish by the end of 2029, the company said.
New transmission assets will be built to serve the data center and improve reliability across the service area, and Meta will pay its share of infrastructure costs for its operations, Entergy ( ETR ) said.
LPSC also authorized Entergy Louisiana to procure up to 1,500 megawatts of solar resources, the company said.
