12:28 PM EDT, 07/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Enterprise Products Partners ( EPD ) said Tuesday that it is expanding its Houston ship channel facility due to continued strong demand for natural gas liquids export capacity.

The company said is adding refrigeration capacity to increase propane and butane export capabilities by about 300,000 barrels per day at the Enterprise Hydrocarbons Terminal. The expanded service is expected to start by the end of 2026.

The expansion will raise loading rates for propane and butane, while making additional capacity available for propylene exports, in addition to providing incremental capacity for liquefied petroleum gas, the firm added.
