05:26 PM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Enthusiast Gaming ( EGLXF ) after trade Thursday said its second-quarter loss widened and revenue fell year-over-year.
The company lost $39.1 million, or $0.25 per share, in the period, compared with a loss of $3.4 million, or $0.02, a year ago.
Revenue fell to $10 million from $14.7 million in the year-ago quarter. The company said the majority of the drop was attributable to the declines in direct sales and the Omnia video platform.
Media and Content revenue fell to $5.9 million from $10.6 million in Q2 2024. Esports and Entertainment revenue rose slightly to $1.2 million from $1 million a year earlier, and subscription revenue dipped from $3.1 million to $2.9 million, the company added.
"Direct sales and creative production, including Omnia, Luminosity, and related assets, have been important parts of our history, but they are not part of our future. Exiting these areas allows us to direct all of our energy, talent, and reinvestment toward building and improving our owned and operated platforms," Chief Executive Alex Macdonald said.
"In Q2, these non-core segments were the primary source of losses and the driver of year-over-year declines. Their departure will remove a major drag on our results and give a clearer view of the strength, value, and profitability of our core business," he added.
