01:17 PM EDT, 03/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Equinix ( EQIX ) has received a subpoena from the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California after short-seller Hindenburg accused it of manipulating financial metrics to boost the appearance of profitability, the company disclosed Monday.

"Receipt of these types of inquiries is not unusual in these circumstances, and Equinix ( EQIX ) intends to fully cooperate in this matter," the company said.

The company also said that its audit committee has started an investigation into the matters mentioned in the report.
