08:11 AM EST, 12/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Equinix ( EQIX ) has agreed to acquire BT's data center business in Ireland for 59 million euros ($61.3 million), the companies said Monday.

The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2025, includes two data centers in CityWest and Ballycoolin, Dublin, with a combined space of about 150,000 square feet, according to a joint statement.

The companies said the data centers would transition to Equinix ( EQIX ) from BT in the coming months.
