05:30 PM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Equitable Holdings ( EQH ) said Tuesday it appointed Julia Zhang as chief risk officer, starting April 1, pending approval from the company's board.

Zhang, who currently serves as the company's treasurer, succeeds Aaron Sarfatti, who served as the company's chief risk officer since 2018, the company said.

Sarfatti will maintain his role on the company's management committee in the capacity of chief strategy officer while also assuming the expanded responsibility as the company's head of institutional businesses and new ventures, the company said.
