09:17 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Equity Residential ( EQR ) said Monday it has appointed Chief Financial Officer Robert Garechana as its chief investment officer while Bret McLeod will assume the CFO role Aug. 7.

Garechana will succeed Alexander Brackenridge, who will become executive vice president - investments before retiring at the end of the year, the company said.

The company also said that McLeod, who serves as Great Wolf Resorts' CFO, will join Equity Residential ( EQR ) in July as executive vice president - finance before assuming the CFO role the following month.
