01:22 PM EST, 11/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) -owned ESPN ( DIS ), Comcast ( CMCSA ) unit NBCUniversal, and Netflix ( NFLX ) signed new three-year media rights agreements with Major League Baseball starting in 2026.
Financial details weren't disclosed in the league announcement Thursday.
The deals extend MLB's relationship with ESPN ( DIS ) to 39 consecutive seasons, bring NBC back to regular MLB broadcasts for the first time in 26 years and make Netflix ( NFLX ) a live-game partner after years of producing baseball documentaries.
Under the agreements, ESPN ( DIS ) will sell and distribute MLB.TV and carry a 30-game national package, the league said. NBC will air Sunday Night Baseball, Sunday Leadoff, and all Wild Card Series across NBC, its cable channel NBCSN, and Peacock's streaming service.
Netflix ( NFLX ) will stream Opening Night, the T-Mobile Home Run Derby, and special events including the 2026 MLB at Field of Dreams game.
Fox (FOXA), Warner Bros. Discovery's ( WBD ) TBS, Apple ( AAPL ) , and MLB Network will continue their current broadcast packages, the league said.
Disney ( DIS ) shares fell 1% in recent Thursday trading, Comcast ( CMCSA ) eased 0.1%, and Netflix ( NFLX ) dropped 2.8%.
