Sep 12, 2025 1:32 AM

BRUSSELS (Reuters) -The European Commission said on Friday it had accepted commitments offered by Microsoft to address competition concerns related to its Teams platform.

EU regulators had preliminarily found during an investigation opened in 2023 that Microsoft had granted Teams an undue competitive advantage and restricted competition in the cloud-based communication and collaboration products due to bundling its productivity applications.

Microsoft unbundled Teams from Office in 2023.
