EU summit unlikely to discuss China car tariffs, says German official
Oct 15, 2024 3:56 AM

BERLIN, Oct 15 (Reuters) - EU leaders are unlikely to

discuss the bloc's duties on Chinese-made electric cars at a

summit this week, a German official told journalists in Berlin

on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, European Union member states narrowly

backed import duties on Chinese-made EVs of up to 45%, meant to

counter what the European Commission says are unfair subsidies

from Beijing to Chinese manufacturers.
