TURIN, June 12 (Reuters) - Europe needs small and

affordable cars like Japan's so-called 'kei cars', Stellantis ( STLA )

Chairman John Elkann said on Thursday.

Speaking at an automotive event in Turin, Elkann also said

the cost of cars has increased in recent years mostly due to

regulation.
