11:10 AM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were in the red on Tuesday morning, down 0.3% to 1,336.25 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.
From continental Europe, the gainers were led by German healthcare company Fresenius (FMS) and Germany's Deutsche Bank ( DB ) , which rose 11.8% and 1.2% respectively.
They were followed by Norwegian petroleum refining company Equinor ( EQNR ) , which rose 2.5%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by Norwegian tech company Opera (OPRA) and Spanish pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturer Grifols ( GRFS ) , which fell 5.5% and 4.7% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by Irish-American biopharmaceutical company Amarin ( AMRN ) and UK-based Lloyds Banking Group ( LYG ) , which advanced 5.6% and 2.1% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by UK-based crypto miner Argo Blockchain ( ARBK ) and biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which shed 13.2% and 2.1% respectively.
