From continental Europe, the gainers were led by hotel booking site trivago (TRVG) and biopharmaceutical company Calliditas Therapeutics ( CALT ) , which rose 5.7% and 5.3%, respectively. They were followed by 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS) and biotech firm Biophytis ( BPTS ) , which were up 3.9% and 2.9%, respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company argenx (ARGX) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) , which fell 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively. They were followed by brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev ( BUD ) and medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) , which was off 0.4% and 0.1%, respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company TC Biopharm ( TCBP ) , which soared 70%, followed by biopharmaceutical companies Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) and Verona Pharma ( VRNA ) , which increased 5.5% and 4.9%, respectively, and financial services company Lloyds Banking Group ( LYG ) , which was up 3.1%.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies NuCana ( NCNA ) and Amarin ( AMRN ) , which dropped 3.5% and 3.3%, respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) and biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) , which were down 2.5% and 1.5%, respectively.
