05:33 PM EDT, 03/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Euroseas ( ESEA ) signed a contract with China's Huanghai Shipbuilding for the construction of two specialized containerships with high refrigerated-container capacity for $46.4 million each.

The vessels are expected to be delivered in mid-2028, Euroseas ( ESEA ) said Tuesday in a statement.

The deal will be financed with a mix of debt and equity, and the agreement includes an option to order up to four additional vessels of a similar size, the company said.
