BRUSSELS, May 12 (Reuters) - Henna Virkkunen, the
European Union's tech commissioner, will go to the United States
on Tuesday, an EU spokesperson said on Monday, following phone
conversations with Meta's Mark Zuckerberg.
Brussels has moved forward with billions of euros' worth of
fines against U.S. tech companies amid trade tensions with
Washington. U.S. tech giants have said the EU is unfairly
targeting them.
"It is an important visit to the United States," the
spokesperson added.
