EV maker Polestar recalls 27,816 US vehicles due to rearview image issue
May 26, 2025 12:03 AM

(Reuters) -Electric vehicle maker Polestar is recalling 27,816 cars in the United States over an issue with the rearview camera, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Friday.

The NHTSA said the rearview camera image in the certain Polestar 2 vehicles may not display when the car is placed in reverse, increasing risk of a crash.

As a remedy, car dealers will update the vehicle software free of charge. The Swedish firm previously recalled over 25,000 vehicles in the U.S. for a similar reason last year.
