04:39 PM EST, 01/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Everest Group ( EG ) late Wednesday said Jim Williamson, currently an executive vice president and group chief operating officer at the insurance and reinsurance company, has been named acting chief executive, effective immediately.

Williamson succeeds former CEO Juan Andrade, who stepped down to become chief executive at another financial services firm, the company said.

As acting CEO, Williamson also becomes a member of Everest's board of directors, the company added.
