04:38 PM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Eversource Energy ( ES ) said Tuesday it completed the sale of its 50% stake in the Sunrise Wind wind farm project in New York to Orsted, for gross proceeds of $230 million, subject to adjustments.

Eversource said 50% of the amount is due at closing and the rest will be paid upon the achievement of construction milestones.

Eversource signed a separate amended construction management deal with Sunrise Wind to lead the onshore construction for the project, the company said, adding that under that agreement it will only be a service provider to Sunrise Wind.
