04:40 PM EST, 12/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Evertz Technologies ( EVTZF ) after trade Tuesday reported a decline in its fiscal second-quarter profit and revenue.
The video-technologies company said it earned $15.9 million, or $0.21 per share, in the quarter ended Oct. 31, down from $22.3 million, or $0.29, a year earlier. The results beat the FactSet consensus earnings per share estimate of $0.18.
Revenue dropped to $125.3 million from $130.7 million a year ago. FactSet consensus stood at $120.4 Million.
For the quarter, revenue in the US/Canada region came in at $94.9 million compared with $74 million in the same quarter last year. The International region revenue stood at $30.4 million compared with $56.7 million in the year-ago quarter.
Evertz's ( EVTZF ) board declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share, up from $0.195 in the previous quarter. It will be paid around Dec. 24. to shareholders of record on Dec. 19.
The company's shares closed down $0.07 to $12.32 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
