May 1 (Reuters) - Exchange operator Cboe Global Markets ( CBOE )

on Thursday named financial markets veteran, Craig

Donohue, as the company's new chief executive officer, effective

May 7.

Donohue will succeed Fredric Tomczyk, who will remain on the

company's board after stepping down as CEO.
