"We have not seen a major turn in the steel prices in last 15 days", Sarda said on Friday.

Talking about the pellet prices, he said, “The current prices are hovering between Rs 6,000 and Rs 6,200 per tonne ex-pant.”

“The domestic iron ore prices have also been stable. They moved up but there were discounts given so they remain more or less stable,” he added.

On the demand front, Sarda said, “Demand on construction, infrastructure side has been stable, it’s good. It’s just that the pricing movements have been up and down on the back of raw material pricing and fear of iron ore shortages.”

“The demand also looks stable for the coming year as well and we will see more demand picking up after the election,” he said.
