Expect industry to grow at 15-17% for next 4-5 years: HDFC Standard Life

The insurance sector is finding favor among analysts. There is an expectation that there could be a strong tailwinds for the sector to help building a solid foundation for strong and structural growth in the industry.

Amitabh Chaudhry, MD & CEO of HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited said that the growth for the last four years for life insurance sector has been strong.

"We have seen growth of over 25 percent for last 2 years", he said.

According to him, gross domestic product (GDP) growth, financial savings etc. are spurring growth in life insurance sector.

"We expect industry to grow at 15-17 percent for next 4-5 years", added Chaudhry.
