Expect T&D business to contribute 50% to overall revenue: Tata Power
Dec 8, 2020 4:52 AM

Tata Power expects transmission and distribution (T&D) business to contribute as much as 50 percent to overall revenue, said Praveer Sinha, MD & CEO of the company.

“Right now our business in T&D is about 1/3rd of our total revenue. We have the biggest T&D business among all private entities and we expect that this is one of our main line of business apart from the renewable business and some of the new businesses on electric vehicle (EV) charging and home automation,” he said in an interview to CNBC-TV18.

The company won bids for two more distribution companies (DISCOMS) in Odisha. “Winning bids in Odisha has been a good beginning for us,” said Sinha.

“We have bid for one more DISCOM and we hope to win the same. Odisha wins are a precursor to more opportunities among DISCOMS of the nation,” he said.
