Cyient Ltd, a provider of engineering, manufacturing and geospatial services to companies, has reported a 6 percent drop in its first-quarter earnings.
Ajay Aggarwal, chief financial officer of the company spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the company's results and outlook.
Aggarwal said that design-led manufacturing (DLM) in FY19 growth seen at 30-40 percent versus 20 percent in the last two years.
“In terms of margin also, we are doing well. This quarter we did close to 5 percent and we had given outlook in terms of single digit margin and we are confident of achieving that,” he added.
On the business front, Aggarwal said, “Our business is little different from IT; we work in aerospace, rail transport an many of the engineering verticals and some of our business and network operations is around utilities and communication.”
“Last year we did much better than IT and this year also we will do much better than the IT on average basis,” he further added.
